Our third call is now open, focusing on climate-neutral cities in Sweden by 2030.
The call welcomes project proposals that focus on cities that want to accelerate the transition to become viable and climate-neutral already in 2030. Project consortia should focus on the transition process and use digitalization and citizen engagement as enablers.
The call is of a new type and is inspired by the ongoing work in the EU with so-called Mission oriented research and innovation. The idea is to focus research and innovation efforts on a visionary, but clear and concrete, objective that can bring together many forces, across sectors, actors and disciplines, and lead to breakthrough innovation for systemic change.
- "In our work with our members, we have seen a need for new ways to accelerate the transition to climate-neutral cities," says Olga Kordas, Program Manager. "With this new type of call, we want to provide the opportunity to not only accelerate the work in individual cities, but also provide the opportunity for better learning between cities and from the best in the world," she says.
