Second call for proposals
Demonstration projects for sustainable cities
June 18 at 13 - 14
The Viable Cities program now announces SEK 15 million for demonstration projects. Viable Cities is a strategic innovation program that supports research and innovation in the field of smart, sustainable cities. Strategic innovation programs are a joint effort between Vinnova, the Swedish Energy Agency and Formas.
The call aims to support the demonstration of innovative solutions that contribute to the transition to sustainable resource-efficient cities with digitalization and citizen engagement as strong drivers for the transition. This means, among other things, that cities are resource-efficient, have an energy use that is 100% renewable, are without net emissions of greenhouse gases, facilitate sustainable lifestyles and that its inhabitants experience a strong social community.
We encourage all constellations consisting of at least three independent actors from at least two stakeholder groups to apply. Both established and new constellations in consortia for innovation and demonstration projects in the field of smart, sustainable cities. On 3 and 10 September, interested consortia will be offered pre-application consultation meetings with the Program Office.
