To really speed up the climate transition, many people need to understand, be engaged and be able to contribute. Lund University, in collaboration with Viable Cities, has now launched a Massive Online Open Course, MOOC: Cities, Climate and Change: Pathways and Opportunities.
The free course explores in five modules how we can create and achieve climate-neutral and sustainable cities with a mission-driven approach. The course provides insights and inspiration from Sweden, Europe and the world, with contributions from ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability, Vinnova, the European Commission, SEI - Stockholm Environment Institute, and WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities as well as municipalities in Malmö, Sweden; Fort Collins, USA; Bonn, Germany; Melbourne, Australia; and Kampala, Uganda.
The course focuses on efforts to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also links to climate adaptation, resilience and social justice.
The course is given in English.
