Platform days for sustainable urban development

Platform days-puff.jpg

December 6-7, Eriksbergshallen in Gothenburg. This year's theme is 'urban politics'.

In February 2014, the Swedish Government commissioned the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth and the Swedish Transport Administration to establish and manage a platform for sustainable urban development issues. It builds on the government's special initiative between 2008 and 2012 with the Delegation for Sustainable Cities, which worked to promote the sustainable development of cities, towns and residential areas.

The content of the Platform Days

  • Knowledge Dialogues. Knowledge Dialogues are silent lectures and workshops on important topics related to urban policy and the Platform's priority areas of RDI - research, development and innovation in sustainable urban development, support for sustainable urban development, and the world - international experiences of sustainable urban development and urban policy.

  • Matchmaking. A creative and fun form where actors who do not usually engage in dialog can do just that. If you want to meet new partners, this is the right opportunity!

  • Exhibitions and study visits. A wide range of projects are presented from, among others, Klimatsynk, the Delegation for Sustainable Cities' projects and study visits in Gothenburg and the surrounding area.

  • Keynote speakers. We will also have two keynote speakers who will put urban policy in a Swedish and international perspective.
