Meet Viable Cities in Almedalen

Can digitalization help growing Swedish cities take the lead in becoming climate neutral?

Monday 2/7 at 16.00 - 17.00 Teaterskeppet (Lilla Matsalen), Visby hamn, Visby.

Digitalization is a powerful enabler of innovation. Things like artificial intelligence, blockchain technology and the sharing economy are opening up new opportunities. How can digitalization transform our growing cities to become climate neutral? How can cities become international leaders?

In growing Swedish cities, demands for environmental and climate change are increasing. The strategic innovation program Viable Cities brings together about 45 actors in business, academia, civil society and the public sector to use digitalization to transform cities to become resource-efficient and climate-smart. The members Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Umeå want to pave the way for innovations for a fast and efficient transition. Learn about the cities' ambitions and efforts today and tomorrow to use digitalization to make the transition. What are the most urgent innovation efforts for a real impact on the transition to sustainable cities? How can digitalization make it possible to accelerate the transition? Limited number of places.
