This is the introduction to a school material for secondary school students developed by Lund University and the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation, which has been tested in the municipality of Lund, among others. Beyond the Fossil Society is an example of an initiative that contributes to making climate change a part of regular school education; many similar initiatives are underway in many parts of the country.
The first Climate Breakfast of the fall was about how schools - leaders, teachers and students - can be involved in the climate transition. We were hosted by Roger Hildingsson, Lund University, Sara Vikström Olsson, the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation and Jonas Franzén from the Gothenburg region's Klimatlyft, which is a support program for schools that want to work with teaching about the global goals with a focus on the climate issue.
