Sustainable mobility solutions in European-Chinese cooperation program

Do you want to contribute to the development of sustainable urban mobility? Now you can apply for support for Swedish participation in the call within the European-Chinese cooperation program ERA-Net Cofund Urban Accessibility and Connectivity Sino-European. The Swedish Energy Agency and Vinnova, together with Viable Cities and Drive Sweden, are issuing a call for approximately SEK 9 million to Swedish actors.

Who can apply?

The call is aimed at business, research institutes, academia, public actors and civil society organizations.

Each project proposal must consist of a project consortium of at least two eligible applicants from at least two participating countries and at least two (and no more than three) Chinese partners. At least one consortium partner must be a city.

What should the consortium look like?

Projects should include transnational cooperation between Europe and China and must demonstrate the added value of the cooperation. The call is open to researchers from European and Chinese universities, research institutes (including municipal research institutes), cities and European companies.

How much can you apply for?

The budget for the call is approximately SEK 9 million for actors active in Sweden who can contribute to innovation and research projects in the areas of the call.

What do we want to achieve with this call?

This call welcomes joint projects between China and Europe focusing on one or a combination of the two selected thematic areas of sustainable city logistics and climate-neutral mobility, and where added value can be achieved from Sino-European cooperation. How to apply

The call is implemented in a two-step process where the first step is the submission of project outlines by 14:00 (CEST) on 12 April 2022. Full applications are due by 14:00 (CEST) on 13 September.

Support for applicants

On 25 February, at 14.00-15.15, Viable Cities, Drive Sweden and the Swedish Energy Agency organized a digital information meeting about the call.

On March 2, from 9.00 to 10.00 a.m. the ENUAC Sino- European Call Secretariat organized a webinar with the theme Societal impact and the impact plan approach.

On 16 March, from 9.00 to 10.00, ENUAC Sino-European Call Secretariat organized a webinar on Submitting your application at NSFC and in UDiManager. 

On 30 March, from 9.00 to 10.00, ENUAC Sino - European Call for Proposals Secretariat organized a webinar with the theme Summary previous webinars and other questions.
