Climate Breakfast 15: Digital tools to support the climate transition

In the work with Climate City Contract 2030, Viable Cities has identified four areas as strategically important for the climate transition in cities. Last spring, Ramboll was commissioned to work with us to develop a strategy for one of these areas, it is about how digitalization and digital tools can support the transition to climate neutral and sustainable cities.

- We hope that the strategy will give us a clear picture of how actors in cities can actively work with digitalization as a key to the transition," says Olle Armstrand Dierks, Portfolio Strategist in the Viable Cities Programme Management.

- The plan is also to promote the implementation of key recommendations from the strategies at national level.

Through workshops and interviews, Ramboll has collected information that is analyzed and now results in recommendations on a possible way forward. During the third Climate Breakfast in the fall, we were visited by Anna Edwall and Anna Löfmarck from Ramboll who told us about their findings.

In the fall, we are dedicating three breakfasts (at a faster pace than usual) to the development projects:

  • On 6 October, the focus is on civic engagement.
  • 20 October on climate investment plans

Anna Löfmarck from Ramboll has written a blog post on how to engage citizens in the climate transition, which you can read here.
