How municipalities and regions can create the conditions for a faster climate transition

Welcome to Urban Lunch-time #94 with Sarah Johnstone, Christian Jensen and Anders Sandoff.

Climate transition is a complex area that cuts across sectors. What conditions are needed to increase the capacity and pace of the transition?

During Urban Lunch-time #94, results from a new feasibility study exploring how municipalities, with the support of other regional actors, can organize themselves to strengthen their transition capacity will be presented. The presentation and the ensuing conversation will focus on challenges in organizing climate transition, different ways of understanding transition capacity, as well as how collaboration between different actors can create conditions for addressing complex challenges.

Participants include researchers from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg and practitioners from the Gothenburg region.

The project has been funded by the Swedish Energy Agency (Viable Cities) and Region Västra Götaland.

After the lecture, participants are invited to a mingle with vegetarian lunch incl. coffee/tea.

This Urban Lunch-time will take place at the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg and you can also follow the event digitally. The event will be recorded and published afterwards.

Urban Lunch-time is free of charge. Afterwards there is the opportunity to visit the exhibitions at Röhsska free of charge.
