Climate Breakfast #44: Indicators for systemic change in cities' climate transition

A Climate Breakfast logo written in white text on a purple circle with a green background plate.

How can we make it clear that we are on the right track and at the same time initiate processes that drive real systemic change? How do we make increased climate resilience visible?

At this climate breakfast, we delve into the main lessons learned from the project Co-creating indicators for transformative change in climate transition of cities, led by Harald Rohracher and Emily Wise in close collaboration with the City of Stockholm and the Municipality of Linköping.

Harald starts with a brief description of the work done so far and shows how both cities are developing and testing new ways of monitoring transformative change processes in selected transition areas. Stockholm and Linköping share their experiences, lessons learned and possible next steps from the cities' work.

Key issues are:

  • How can we make early progress and change processes visible in daily planning and decision-making?
  • How can indicators become a driver for a deep and faster climate transition?

The Climate Breakfast will feature:

  • Harald Rohracher, Professor of Technology and Social Change at Linköping University
  • Sandra Viktor, Process Manager Climate Neutral Linköping
  • Charlotta Porsö Climate Specialist, Environmental Administration, City of Stockholm
